Jennifer Fernandez - CEO

As the Founder of and head of operations for Rapid Enrollment Solutions (RESolutions), she is key in the overall management of the business strategy as well as being hands on in the overall management of each project. She has led teams that have successfully designed patient recruitment programs to meet and often exceed their clients' timelines.

Fernandez has extensive biotech and pharmaceutical experience spanning more than 20 years. Her career in research started on the clinical side as a study coordinator, progressed on to clinical monitor, and then into clinical operations with a biotech company. From there, she has held positions in regulatory affairs, public relations/corporate communications and, for the past 10 years, she has focused specifically on patient recruitment and patient retention. During her career, she has successfully recruited and enrolled phase II-IV clinical trials, including the largest HIV clinical trial of its time in 1997 with over 3,000 HIV-positive participants. Ms. Fernandez' unique blend of first-hand clinical trial recruitment experience and extensive clinical, regulatory, and public relations expertise has given her the ability to identify with each party's client's needs and successfully build recruitment programs that deliver qualified patients on time and within a clients' particular budget.

Angela Peters - Creative and Marketing

Angela is responsible for designing and implementing a variety of targeted campaigns that are creative, cost effective methods of heightening awareness of each specific trial.  Angela brings to RESolutions a wealth of experience in clinical trial recruitment. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry working with Ms. Fernandez during the pre-and post-launch of a phase III HIV clinical trial––designing, customizing and distributing all printed marketing materials in support of the study. She has since developed many successful clinical trial recruitment campaigns (print ads, direct mailings, web promotions, and radio and television commercials) for a variety of health conditions including lupus, melanoma, HIV, COPD, allergic rhinitis and emphysema.

Gus Fernandez, Pharm.D. - Executive Vice President, Business Development

Dr. Fernandez is responsible for business development, new product initiatives, and strategic planning at RESolutions.  He brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  Prior to joining the company, Dr. Fernandez worked at Avanir Pharmaceuticals in a variety of assignments which span the areas of Business Development & Licensing, New Product Planning, and Commercial Operations. 

Prior to joining Avanir, Dr. Fernandez spent seven years at Dura Pharmaceuticals in a number of senior management positions which include Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales Management and Sales Operations.  Dr. Fernandez has also spent over six years at Eli Lilly & Company with various roles in Sales and International Marketing.  He holds both a Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Rik Thistle - Director, Business Development

Mr. Thistle has over 20 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing to high technology companies involved in medical, dental, pharmaceutical, biotech and other markets.  Mr. Thistle was responsible for designing and implementing a wide variety of targeted communications campaigns, driving business development and strategic partnerships leading to increased business and accelerated growth.  While at DigiVision, Thistle was the VP, Sales & Business Development responsible for the successful development and marketing of an image enhancement product into the dental device market.  Mr. Thistle has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University with a major in computer science.
